At Inside, we love to keep things simple.

Agents require flexible management of content and easy editing of responses to cope
with the demand of users. An Agent owner needs to manage the content of an Agent
effortlessly and remotely, whilst also being able to monitor usage of, and get reporting on,
the performance of their Agent.

When we set off developing instant messaging solutions like Inside Messenger,
we developed our own layer of technology to sit between the IM networks and the suppliers.

This is allowing us to manage our agents remotely without changing the source code, and monitor activities of the agent on the fly. It is also allowing us to deploy multiple agents to our customers and even extend use of the Inside Middleware Layer to other developers.

Typically, we use Microsoft technologies where possible, and our preferred coding environment is
ASP / ASP.net with Javascript. Database wise we stick to Microsoft SQL Server and we live and breathe XML.
